Become a Volunteer

Engaging, Connecting and Restoring individuals to people, programs, resources and to the community.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

As you can appreciate the position of trust associated in dealing with youth requires a stringent criminal record check as well as personal and professional reference checks.  These requirements are necessary for the protection of our young clients.
Our primary concern is the youth of our community.  You can help by volunteering as a "Facilitator" and/or as a "Mentor".  As a facilitator of a restorative process you will guide the process, and with input from all parties involved, you will decide on the consequences in the form of a Resolution Agreement. A volunteer mentor is assigned to each case to assist the client in fulfilling his/her Resolution Agreement. Training is provided to all volunteers.
Please drop in at the Community Policing Office at 45877 Wellington Avenue to pick up a new volunteer package, or click this link (Volunteer Application Form) . If you have any additional questions or would like to apply to become a valued volunteer please give us a call at 604-393-3023 or  email

All Chilliwack Restorative Justice volunteers must complete a Criminal Record Check. To help our volunteers complete this step we offer a free, online criminal record check application. Use the link below and the access code provided in the volunteer package to access the criminal record check. To use this feature, you need to have received the volunteer package and be a Chilliwack resident.
